The Canon EOS R50 V is an APS-C mirrorless camera announced by Canon U.S.A. on March 26, 2025 as the first body of the EOS Vseries. It combines a 24.2 megapixel class APS-C CMOS sensor with theDIGIC
Canon designed the EOS R50 V with a clearly video-oriented operation. Official features include 4K full-width upsampled from 6K up to 29.97p, 4K with crop up to 59.94p, Full HD up to 119.8p, Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, False Color, Zebras and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with human, animal and vehicle detection. The body also adds a front record button, a tripod socket in portrait orientation, and USB UVC/UAC support for direct streaming streams.
Connectivity and daily use are also a central part of the package. The camera uses a 3.0-inch vari-angle touch screen, a single UHS-II SD slot, Bluetooth 4.2, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, USB-C, micro HDMI, microphone input and headphone output. Canon announced the EOS R50 V body-only with an estimated price of USD 649.99 and expected availability in April 2025.
