Pros & Cons
Pros
Internal zoom: Maintains the center of gravity stable and improves sealing against dust and moisture.
Extreme lightness: It is the lightest 24-70mm f/2.8 in the world for full-frame cameras (675g).
Ultra-fast focusing: The Silky Swift VCM motor delivers class-leading speed and precision.
Bokeh quality: The 11 diaphragm blades produce a softer and more aesthetic blur.
Optimization for video: It has practically no focus breathing (change of frame when focusing).
Ergonomics: Includes two customizable L-Fn buttons and control ring with click/silent option.
Cons
Fixed size: By not retracting, it is physically longer (150mm) than the previous version when it was stored at 24mm.
High price: It has a premium introductory cost ($2,799 USD approx.).
No OLED screen: The digital information panel that many professional users appreciated in version I has been removed.
Medical Caution Required: Due to its strong magnets (VCM), use is not recommended near people with pacemakers.
