Lenovo Project Swan

Proof-of-concept laptop with horizontally expanding 14-to-17-inch rollable OLED screen

Description

Lenovo Project Swan

The Lenovo Project Swan is an innovative proof-of-concept laptop featuring a horizontally rollable flexible OLED display, introduced at IFA 2026 to redefine portable creative and professional multitasking. In its standard clamshell footprint, the device functions as a compact 14-inch thin-and-light notebook, which smoothly expands sideways at the touch of a button to provide a continuous 17-inch 16:9 workspace.

Constructed with a premium magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, the Lenovo Project Swan measures just 17.9mm thin and weighs approximately 3.5 pounds (1.6 kg), maintaining exceptional portability without the cumbersome bulk of traditional dual-screen setups. The vibrant OLED panel delivers deep contrast and accurate color presentation, complemented by modern USB-C connectivity, an expansive touchpad, and built-in multimedia hardware.

For traveling photographers, digital retouchers, and media editors, this conceptual machine offers an expansive canvas for mobile post-processing. The wide horizontal aspect ratio enables side-by-side management of RAW photo catalogs alongside full-screen image previews, delivering desktop-class multi-window efficiency on location without requiring a separate portable display.
