I took this photo at the top of the hill in Grutas De Salamanca Municipal Park, a spectacular place in Maldonado, near Aigua. That tree called me, it asked me for a composition that reflected its growth, its strength and its resistance to the environment. It is a tree that is small today, but I know that tomorrow it will be enormous, a living testimony of nature's power to grow and persevere in the face of any adversity.
From this hard soil emerges this tree. In a rocky, rough and complicated environment, where normally the water would have flooded everything, on this occasion it was possible to see the composition of the soil.
