Canon EOS R50 Firmware v1.5.0
Display improvements for RF-S7.8mm DUAL, new aspect ratios, and better stability
The firmware v1.8.0 update for the Canon EOS R7 adds practical compatibility and fixes specific bugs affecting body reliability. Canon confirms display improvements when using the RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL, the addition of the [3:2] and [1:1] ratios, and several fixes related to the appearance of Err70.
Those fixes include an interference issue during Bluetooth communication with other devices and a rare case of Err70 when repeating shooting in “High-Speed Continuous Shooting+”. For an APS-C oriented towards action, wildlife and intensive use, these corrections weigh more than a short list of new features, because they attack real use scenarios where the camera must respond consistently.
This is a highly recommended upgrade for EOS R7 users who shoot bursts, use wireless connectivity, or want to keep the body aligned with the latest optics and features of the RF-Ssystem. The general stability improvement rounds off a version focused on operational confidence and creative flexibility.
