Firmware 1.1 for M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-600mm f/5.0-6.3 IS
Firmware update for OM SYSTEM Micro Four Thirds lenses
Nikon Z6III Firmware 2.01 adds targeted improvements to the Nikon Z6III for photographers using pre-release capture, remote control, and lenses mounted through an adapter. The most useful change lets a compatible Bluetooth remote such as the ML-L7 trigger Pre-Release Capture. The camera can buffer up to one second of frames before the shutter is fully pressed in high-speed C15 to C120 modes, with JPEG capture, and the pre-buffer can now be started from the remote.
With Nikon Z6III Firmware 2.01, the camera’s in-body focus limiter also supports eight additional NIKKOR Z lenses: the DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR, DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR, DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR, Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR, Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3, Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S, Z 24-70mm f/4 S, and Z 14-30mm f/4 S. The setting can limit the focus range to reduce unnecessary hunting, which is especially useful for close subjects and scenes where a lens might otherwise travel toward infinity.
The Nikon Z6III Firmware 2.01 release also fixes issues affecting F-mount lenses used through the FTZ or FTZ II adapter: unstable exposure during bursts with type E lenses, lock-ups during continuous shooting, autofocus problems with flash and FV lock, incorrect frame counts in pixel shift with non-CPU lenses, and freezes when zooming live view during subject detection with manual lenses. It also fixes occasional overexposure in M-mode bursts, renames Cloud Picture Control to Imaging Recipe, and corrects several menu item numbers. Install it from Nikon’s download center with a charged battery and a freshly formatted card.
