Panasonic LUMIX S1IIE Firmware 1.5
Official Firmware 1.5 for LUMIX S1IIE with enhanced external flash responsiveness
The OM-5 Mark II Firmware 1.1 is the software update OM System publishes on 28 October 2026 for its compact Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera. The release applies to the OM-5 Mark II body and replaces the firmware it shipped with, leaving the camera on the most recent system package available from the manufacturer's official download centre.
Installation runs from a Windows or macOS computer through the OM Workspace application, with the camera connected over USB and the battery charged enough to finish the process without interruption. Before starting, back up custom settings, check the current version in the camera menu, and do not unplug the cable or switch the camera off until the application reports completion. Once finished, the camera restarts and runs version 1.1, ready for the next assignment.
For photographers working with the Micro Four Thirds system, keeping the body updated is part of routine maintenance: firmware revisions correct internal behaviour, improve operational stability and keep the camera aligned with the rest of the brand's lenses and accessories. Check the installed version before an important shoot and repeat the procedure when OM System publishes a later release.
