Summary

The DZOFILM Arcana 45mm T2.1 1.5x Anamorphic is the middle focal length in the Arcana trio, giving full-frame cinema cameras a natural angle of view with a clearly anamorphic look. It combines PL mount, 1.5x squeeze and a constant T2.1 aperture, making it useful for dialogue scenes, environmental portraits, handheld narrative work and compact commercial productions that need character without pushing perspective too wide.

Sitting between the 32mm and 75mm, the 45mm is likely the most flexible lens in the set for crews that want one focal length to cover a broad range of scenes. Its optical formula uses 15 elements in 13 groups, with a 14-blade iris, 43.3mm image circle, 80mm front diameter, 80mm length and M77 filter thread. The shared front size and short body help maintain accessory balance when switching lenses on a rig.

The 0.53m close-focus distance and 0.111x maximum magnification give the lens room for tighter compositions while keeping oval bokeh and horizontal flare behavior visible. For filmmakers and hybrid shooters using smaller cinema bodies, the 45mm offers a practical balance between subject presence, depth and anamorphic texture. It is less specialized than the wider or longer options, which makes it a strong everyday choice within this compact cinema series.
