Summary

The Leica Summilux-TL 35mm f/1.4 ASPH represents the pinnacle of optical engineering for the APS-C Lmount system. Known for its exceptional build quality "Made in Germany", this prime lens offers a 50mm equivalent focal length, making it a versatile choice for reportage, street photography and portraits. Its fast f/1.4 aperture not only allows shooting in difficult lighting conditions, but also provides the smooth, distinctive bokeh that Leica Summilux lenses are famous for.

Technically, the lens features a complex optical design with aspherical elements to minimize aberrations and ensure edge a sharpness even at wide apertures. The internal focusing system ensures that the lens length remains constant during operation, while the autofocus is precise and quiet. Its minimalist, all-metal exterior aligns perfectly with the aesthetics of Leica T/TL/CL bodies and compact L mount cameras like the Sigma fp series.

A Despite being part of a discontinued line of lenses, the Summilux-TL 35mm remains highly sought after by L mount enthusiasts who value its unique rendering and compact form factor. It's a testament to Leica's commitment to high-end APS-C optics, delivering a level of performance and tactile experience rarely matched in its class.
