With an equivalence of 25.5-60mm in universal pitch, this lens seeks to replicate the versatility and optical performance of fixed lenses (primes) in a single body. Its high-level optical design, characteristic of the Art line, guarantees critical resolution from corner to corner, minimizing chromatic aberrations and distortions thanks to the use of aspherical and low dispersion (SLD) elements. In the mechanical and functional section, the implementation of the high-response linear motor HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) stands out, which ensures extremely fast and silent autofocus, critical both for high-speed bursts and for professional video recordings without obvious focus breathing. Its robust construction includes a dust- and splash-resistant structure, a rounded 11-blade diaphragm for exceptionally smooth bokeh, and a minimum focusing distance of just 28cm. It is, in essence, the technical evolution of the legendary 18-35mm, optimized for the short registration distance of modern mounts (E, L, X and RF-S).
