Summary

The Thypoch Simera-C 100mm T1.9 is a dedicated telephoto cinema prime lens offering a focal length of 100mm and a fast maximum aperture of T1.9, engineered specifically for directors of photography and cinematographers who prioritize organic textural character and modern optical precision across full-frame sensors. Completing the established cine prime lineup, this lens delivers exceptional center-to-edge resolving capability, meticulous chromatic aberration suppression, and a delicate highlight fall-off tailored to cinematic visual storytelling.

Featuring a 16-blade circular aperture diaphragm, it generates an extraordinarily creamy background blur and pleasing circular specular highlights, while the telephoto focal length introduces natural perspective compression ideal for character portraits, emotion-driven close-ups, and dramatic narrative separation. Mechanically, the lens incorporates standardized 0.8 MOD cine pitch gears on both the decoupled iris and focus rings, accompanied by a generous 210-degree manual focus rotation throw for deliberate, millimeter-accurate pulls using professional wireless or mechanical follow-focus gear.

Its practical capabilities excel across narrative cinema, high-end commercial sets, documentary filmmaking, and stylistic music videos where expressive subject isolation and tactile control are paramount. Crafted with an all-metal aluminum alloy chassis, an industry-unified 72mm front outside diameter, and a front filter thread of 67mm, this prime integrates effortlessly into matte boxes, handheld setups, and gimbal stabilizers without cumbersome rebalancing.
