Summary

The Thypoch Simera-C 50mm T1.5 is an exceptional cinema lens that stands out for its extremely compact and lightweight design, ideal for photographers and videographers looking for mobility without sacrificing quality. Its native Leica M mount makes it compatible with iconic rangefinder cameras, but its true versatility shines when adapted to modern systems such as Sony E, Canon RF or Nikon Z. With an ultra-fast T1.5 aperture and 16-blade iris, this lens not only offers superior low-light performance, but generates a smooth, circular bokeh that masterfully separates the subject from the background, providing an organic and professional cinematic aesthetic. From a technical point of view, the lens is built to offer high resolution and impeccable contrast thanks to its aspherical and low dispersion elements, which minimize chromatic aberrations. Although it is a lens designed for cinema, with standard 0.8 MOD gears and a 210° focus rotation for pinpoint accuracy, its small size makes it an attractive option for photographers who enjoy manual focusing and want equipment that is not intrusive. Its minimum focusing distance of 45 cm allows you to capture close details with surprising sharpness, maintaining visual consistency throughout the Simera-C series. As for its practical uses, this 50mm is an all-terrain tool: it is perfect for classic portraiture, street and documentary photography, where discretion is key. In the field of video, its lightness makes it the ideal companion for filming with gimbals or handheld stabilizers, allowing long days of recording without fatigue. It is ideal for content creators, independent filmmakers and photographers looking to experiment with the film "look" in their personal projects, offering a unique combination of precision mechanical engineering and distinctive visual character.
