Pros & Cons
Pros
- Full perspective control (Tilt and Shift) in a robust metal body.
- 17mm ultra wide angle, ideal for small spaces and architecture.
- Compatible with medium format (GFX) sensors thanks to its large image circle.
- Excellent value for money compared to native options from brands like Canon or Nikon.
- 10-blade diaphragm that generates very attractive "sunstar" effects.
- Includes aspherical and high refractive index elements to improve optical quality.
Cons
- Considerable weight (more than 1kg), which can be tiring in long freehand sessions.
- Fully manual focus and controls, requiring a learning curve and tripod use.
- The GFX mount version does not have the 360° rotation function.
- Maximum aperture of f/4, which may be limited in very low light conditions without a tripod.
- As it is an extreme wide angle, it may exhibit pronounced vignetting when using the maximum shift limits.
