Summary

The TTArtisan AF 24mm f/3.8 Mini is an innovative pancake autofocus prime lens designed for full-frame mirrorless camera bodies, officially available in Sony E and Nikon Z mounts. Produced by TTArtisan, it redefines ultra-compact shooting with a remarkably slim chassis measuring just 16mm in depth and weighing a mere 57 grams, standing out as one of the lightest and most discreet wide-angle lenses in the modern camera market for photographers demanding ultimate pocketability.

In terms of optical engineering, the TTArtisan AF 24mm f/3.8 Mini incorporates a construction of 6 elements arranged in 6 groups, featuring 2 extra-low dispersion ED elements and 2 aspherical elements to control chromatic aberrations and deliver crisp central resolution. Its defining operational characteristic is a fixed aperture design held strictly at f/3.8 without mechanical diaphragm blades, delegating exposure management entirely to shutter speed and sensor ISO settings. Autofocus operation is driven by a Voice Coil Motor (VCM) mechanism with a close focus distance of 300mm, purposefully omitting a manual focus ring and front filter threads to preserve its ultra-slim profile.

Tailored primarily for street photography, daily walkaround shooting, and lightweight travel documentation, the TTArtisan AF 24mm f/3.8 Mini functions virtually like an active body cap that transforms interchangeable-lens mirrorless bodies into instant, unobtrusive capture tools. Its budget-friendly MSRP of $99 USD offers unmatched accessibility for creators prioritizing street-level stealth and featherweight handling over variable aperture versatility. Equipped with an integrated front protective lever and a bayonet USB-C firmware port, it delivers a uniquely minimalist photography experience.
