Pros & Cons
Pros
- Extreme aperture of f/0.95 that allows shooting in almost zero light conditions.
- Very smooth and creamy bokeh with 10 diaphragm blades.
- Premium, compact metal construction with clickable diaphragm ring.
- Highly competitive price for such a bright optic.
- Retro aesthetic that complements modern mirrorless cameras very well.
Cons
- Demanding manual focus; the depth of field at f/0.95 is extremely fine.
- Lack of sharpness and contrast at the edges when used at maximum aperture.
- Presence of chromatic aberrations and flare in strong backlight situations.
- No electronic contacts (does not transmit EXIF data to the camera).
- Considerable weight (approx. 411g) for its compact size due to glass and metal.
