Summary

The TTArtisan AF 17mm f/1.8 Air is a bright wide-angle prime lens designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras. Offering a 35mm full-frame equivalent focal length of approximately 25.5mm, this compact optic provides an expansive yet natural perspective ideal for street photography, travel reportage, architectural vistas, and everyday vlogging. Its fast f/1.8 maximum aperture ensures consistent low-light performance while granting photographers intuitive creative control over depth of field and smooth background separation.

Optically, the TTArtisan AF 17mm f/1.8 Air incorporates 14 elements arranged in 10 optical groups, featuring 2 extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and 3 high-refractive-index (HR) elements specifically engineered to suppress chromatic aberrations, control distortion, and maintain corner-to-corner clarity. The internal autofocus drive utilizes a fast, silent stepping motor (STM) that seamlessly integrates with modern camera face and eye tracking algorithms. Thanks to its internal focusing mechanism, the barrel length remains fixed during operation, achieving a minimum focusing distance of just 18 centimeters.

Weighing between 161g and 178g depending on the mount, and featuring a standard 52mm front filter thread, the TTArtisan AF 17mm f/1.8 Air excels as a lightweight grab-and-go lens for creators prioritizing portability. Its durable aluminum exterior houses a 6-blade aperture mechanism capable of rendering distinctive sunstar effects when stopped down, while the included rear lens cap with integrated USB-C docking ensures straightforward firmware updates across Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Nikon Z mounts.
