Summary

The Viltrox AF 35mm F1.2 LAB FE It is a fixed lens for mount Sony E full-frame that bets on a rare combination in its range: a extremely bright f/1.2 aperture along with a robust construction and modern autofocus. Its optical design of 15 elements in 10 groups and an 11-blade diaphragm seek to maximize image quality, especially in low-light situations and in scenes where blur plays a key role in the visual narrative.

In terms of use, this 35mm is positioned as a very versatile tool. It can work perfectly in street photography, documentary or even events, where the focal length offers a balance between context and subject. At the same time, its f/1.2 aperture makes it a very attractive option for environmental portraiture, allowing the subject to be separated from the background with an extremely shallow depth of field, something unusual for this focal length.

It also has a clear orientation towards hybrid creators who work in photo and video. The presence of advanced physical controls (multifunction ring, Fn button, aperture control with the possibility of de-clicking) and a modern focus motor make it suitable for audiovisual production. However, his weight close to 900g It moves it away from the concept of a lightweight lens, positioning it more as a professional tool or for conscious use than as a casual option to always carry with you.
