Summary

The Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.4 Pro is a fast, short telephoto prime lens designed specifically for Nikon Z-mount cameras. This model features autofocus, covers full-frame sensors, and excels at producing smooth bokeh. In terms of its use, this lens is an excellent choice for portraits and offers very good performance for wedding photography, as well as performing well in sports photography thanks to its fast aperture. However, its performance is considered average or acceptable for situations such as street photography, vlogging, travel, or landscapes, where its narrow angle of view limits its versatility. Finally, it delivers mediocre results in wildlife photography due to its limited reach and is not recommended for macro photography.
