The best

Ultra-compact pancake design with the legendary Septon's center sharpness and character.

Also

Optimized for Sony E and Nikon Z mounts, offering a perfect balance of performance and portability.

Summary

A very compact manual focus pancake prime lens for Nikon Z and Sony E mounts. It stands out for its retro design inspired by the classic Septon, metallic helical and electronic contacts for IBIS and Exif support. It is a tribute to the golden era of optics, rescuing the name of the legendary "Septon" but under a modern high-performance construction. This is a manual focus lens with electronic contacts that allow full communication with the Nikon Z body (EXIF data transmission and in-body stabilization). Its 40mm focal length is considered the "sweet spot" between a 35mm and a 50mm, offering a very natural perspective for street or everyday photography. Its design stands out for being extremely compact and for including an aspherical element that guarantees exceptional sharpness even at its maximum aperture of f/2, maintaining that organic character and the characteristic contrast of the lenses manufactured by Cosina.
