We're closing out 2024 filled with challenges and growth
Sometimes, making things work the way we want isn't easy. Barriers, unexpected events, and sudden twists push us to constantly adapt. As time goes on, this instability can become harder to manage. It would be ideal to face challenges while we're young, learning to overcome them with patience and time, but life has its own rhythm and surprises us daily. If we're not prepared to handle them, those surprises can become significant obstacles.
2024 was a tough year and marked a significant shift from previous years. Many things that used to be stable and accessible are no longer so, and the stability once taken for granted has completely transformed. It was a period of adjustment, confronting uncertainties, and adapting to a new landscape. What’s most valuable is what we learn by overcoming obstacles and finding solutions, as that knowledge becomes the key to facing future stages. Even if the landscape isn't always favorable, each new day presents another opportunity. Knowing that tomorrow will always bring a new dawn means embracing new challenges, discovering new solutions, and continuing to grow.
I have a long list of things to do: lessons to learn, experiences to have, places to visit, and moments to share with people I care about. This list is one of my greatest treasures, reflecting how I want to move forward, leaving behind what didn’t work, what failed, and the disappointments I faced. Every item on that list represents a goal on my horizon. I know it won’t be easy to cross them off, and perhaps time won’t allow me to complete everything, but having it gives me a reason to keep going.
While some people choose to live more casually, with less structure or filled with surprises—and I respect that— that approach no longer fits me. Life has shown me that by setting clear lines towards my goals and following a plan, I can move forward with more certainty and purpose. Maybe age plays a role in this way of thinking, but today my priorities have shifted: I no longer think only about myself, but also about my loved ones. Taking care of them and myself has become the most important thing, and those lines include them as well.
While I celebrate that 2024 is coming to an end, I believe it was an essential year for me. I needed to live through it, experience its challenges, and navigate it. It has prepared me for what’s to come and showed me that hard work, effort, and constant learning are the path to growth.
Wishing you a very happy 2025, and as always, thank you!
