I took this photo at the top of the hill in Grutas De Salamanca Municipal Park, a spectacular place in Maldonado, near Aigua. That tree called me, it asked me for a composition that reflected its growth, its strength and its resistance to the environment. It is a tree that is small today, but I know that tomorrow it will be enormous, a living testimony of nature's power to grow and persevere in the face of any adversity.
From this hard soil emerges this tree. In a rocky, rough and complicated environment, where normally the water would have flooded everything, on this occasion it was possible to see the composition of the soil. No matter how arid it may be, plant life finds its way. This photo was taken near Colonia, Uruguay.
In the Punta Carretas area, more precisely near the Parque Rodó neighborhood, you will find this lake, a very attractive landscape that the Municipality of Montevideo is in charge of maintaining. During the sunset, the sunlight highlights its splendor, showing all its beauty. It was at that precise moment when I had the opportunity to capture this photograph.
