Pros & Cons
Pros
- 122.5° ultra-wide viewing angle with rectilinear correction (Zero-Distortion).
- Quiet and precise STM focusing motor, compatible with Eye-AF.
- Robust but lightweight metal construction (less than 500g).
- Very defined sunstars thanks to its 5-leaf diaphragm.
- Excellent value for money for an AF lens with these characteristics.
Cons
- The bulbous front element prevents the use of conventional screw-on filters (requires 34mm rear filters).
- The minimum focusing distance of 30cm is slightly longer than the previous manual version.
- No optical image stabilization (depends on camera IBIS).
