Summary

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is a flagship professional ultra-wide-angle zoom lens featuring a constant f/2.8 aperture, meticulously engineered for full-frame Z-mount mirrorless cameras. Produced by Nikon as an elite member of the premium S-Line series, this lens establishes a new benchmark succeeding the legendary F-mount 14-24mm f/2.8G ED by shaving off substantial bulk, tipping the scales at just 650 grams for superb handheld balance and field mobility.

Optically and mechanically, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S employs an advanced configuration of 16 elements in 11 groups, comprising 4 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements and 3 aspherical elements that thoroughly suppress chromatic aberrations, coma, and distortion right into extreme frame edges. Dual Nano Crystal and ARNEO anti-reflective coatings effectively eliminate flare and ghosting under challenging backlight. Autofocus is actuated by a swift, whisper-quiet Stepping Motor (STM) with minimal focus breathing, complemented on the barrel by a customizable L-Fn button, a programmable control ring, and an integrated OLED information panel displaying focal length, aperture, and depth of field.

Engineered for landscape, architecture, astrophotography, and high-end video production, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S solves ultra-wide filtration with exceptional ingenuity. Alongside a rear gelatin filter slot, it includes the dedicated HB-97 hood with front 112mm threads, accommodating standard screw-in polarizers or ND filters without clumsy third-party riggings. Full weather sealing and a protective fluorine coat ensure unwavering reliability in the most demanding outdoor environments.
