The M.Zuiko 30mm f/3.5 Macro is one of the most specialized and affordable tools for the Micro Four Thirdssystem, standing out for an exceptional magnification capacity of 1.25x (equivalent to 2.5x in universal step). This feature allows you to capture details that are invisible to the human eye, outperforming most standard macro lenses that usually stay at a 1:1 ratio. Its design is extremely compact and lightweight, making it an ideal companion to carry in any backpack without adding noticeable weight to the equipment.

Regarding its optical performance, the lens offers outstanding sharpness from its maximum aperture, with a MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) focusing system that is practically silent and very fast. Although it does not have internal stabilization (relying on the excellent stabilization of the OM/Olympus camera body), its minimum focusing distance is just 9.5 cm from the sensor, which means that the subject can be only 1.4 cm from the front glass, allowing total immersion in the world of the tiny.

Its main uses range from nature photography (flowers, leaf textures or not very scary insects) to product and jewelry photography, where the reproduction of tiny details is critical. It is also an excellent tool for digitizing 35mm negatives due to its zero distortion and high resolution, as well as for portraits with a natural viewing angle (equivalent to 60mm) that offers a soft and pleasant bokeh.
