The Sigma 16-300mm f/3.5-6.7 DC OS | Contemporary is an APS-C mirrorless superzoom that covers wide-angle to super-telephoto framing in a single lens. Its 16-300mm range gives Canon RF APS-C users an approximate 25.6-480mm equivalent view, while the design adds an 18.8x zoom ratio, OS2 optical stabilization, HLA autofocus, dust- and splash-resistant construction, a 67mm filter thread and versions for Canon RF, Sony E, Fujifilm X and L-Mount.

The main photographic value is not only reach, but the number of situations it can handle without a lens change. At 16mm it works for landscapes, interiors, travel and contextual scenes; at 300mm it can reach wildlife, sports, aircraft and distant details. The 1:2 maximum magnification at 70mm and 0.17m minimum focus at the wide end also give it a useful close-up role for flowers, small objects and detail shots.

With 20 elements in 14 groups, an HLA motor and stabilization rated up to 6 stops at the wide end and 4.5 stops at telephoto, it is built for photographers who prefer mobility and coverage over maximum brightness.
