Canon EOS R7

Introduced in May 2022, the Canon EOS R7 is a high-performance APS-C mirrorless camera that serves as the flagship crop-sensor body within the EOS R system developed by Canon. Engineered specifically for wildlife, action, sports, and aviation photographers who benefit from the natural 1.6x telephoto reach of the APS-C format, the Canon EOS R7 pairs rugged weather-resistant ergonomics with a deeply sculpted grip and intuitive controls designed for demanding outdoor field assignments.

At its technical core, the Canon EOS R7 is powered by a high-resolution 32.5-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor paired with the flagship DIGIC X image processor and Canon's renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus system featuring deep-learning subject detection for people, animals, and vehicles. The body integrates a 5-axis In-Body Image Stabilizer (IBIS) delivering up to 8 stops of coordinated shake correction with compatible RF lenses, blazing continuous shooting speeds up to 15 fps with the mechanical shutter and 30 fps with the electronic shutter, alongside versatile 7K-oversampled 4K video recording up to 60p with 10-bit 4:2:2 Canon Log 3 support.

In everyday practical wildlife and sports documentation, the Canon EOS R7 excels through its dual UHS-II SD card slots, a responsive 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, and a fully articulating 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD that enables creative composition from challenging low and high angles. Combining pro-tier autofocus tracking with formidable reach and lightweight mobility, the Canon EOS R7 represents an indispensable tool for enthusiasts and working photographers seeking ultimate speed and resolution in a compact mirrorless design.
