7Artisans was born in 2015 when a group of seven optical enthusiast friends in China came together to create high-quality lenses at affordable prices. Its name pays tribute to those founders who managed to take their designs from paper to mass production. The company distinguishes itself by manufacturing lenses with metal bodies and a classic aesthetic, initially focusing on mirrorless cameras and gaining fame for offering very large apertures that allow it to capture a lot of light and generate very attractive out-of-focus backgrounds.
