Pros & Cons
Pros
- True f/0.95 aperture allowing for near-night vision and massive blur.
- Surprising central sharpness for a lens of this brightness.
- Continuous iris ring (no clicks), ideal for smooth transitions in video.
- Premium and robust metal construction with excellent tactile response.
- 25mm focal length (37.5mm equiv.) very versatile for multiple disciplines.
Cons
- Considerable weight (582g), which can upset very small APS-C cameras.
- Presence of chromatic aberrations in high contrast situations at f/0.95.
- Very critical manual approach; the plane of focus is extremely thin.
- Visible vignetting in the corners when used at maximum aperture.
- No electronic communication with the camera (does not save EXIF data).
