Summary

The Sony FE 600mm f/6.3 GM OSS from Sony is a groundbreaking super-telephoto prime lens engineered specifically for full-frame E-mount mirrorless systems. Weighing an astonishingly low 995g with an extreme focal length of 600mm, this G Master optic transforms handheld field photography. Wildlife, bird, and sports photographers can now track fast-moving distant subjects for hours without the fatigue traditionally caused by massive super-telephoto glass.

Its sophisticated optical formula contains 24 elements in 17 groups, featuring three Super ED elements, one ED element, and an extreme aspherical XA element that comprehensively eliminate chromatic and spherical aberrations. Dual XD linear autofocus motors deliver instantaneous, quiet, and pinpoint focus tracking even during high-speed continuous bursts on flagship bodies, while internal Optical SteadyShot stabilization ensures crisp handheld results in challenging field conditions.

Built for demanding outdoor workflows, the lens incorporates comprehensive dust and moisture sealing, a fluorine-coated front element, four customizable focus hold buttons, and an aperture ring with switchable click stops and an iris lock switch. With a 95mm front filter thread, a 2.5-meter minimum focus distance, and seamless support for 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters, this telephoto prime stands out as an agile, uncompromising imaging solution for distant action.
