Paths of Light: The Inheritance of a Passion

Paths of Light: The Inheritance of a Passion

It's funny how photography found its place in my life.

There was a time when I would never have paid the slightest attention to it; Maybe in youth one has other interests and paths to explore. It wasn't until much later, when routines, loss of interest in other things, the desire to achieve goals and personal maturation led me to discover this path. The role my mother played in my upbringing, showing me her tastes and passions, was fundamental.

I remember her, countless times, with a camera in her hand, perhaps not the most advanced, but a simple digital camera that showed me, without knowing it, a clue of what was to come. Today, I carry that little camera in my backpack and call it the "Digicam." Every time I use it, I am flooded with memories, phrases, advice, and it reminds me of the character and determination that she taught me. That camera, which barely continues to function, is much more than an object: it is a motivator, a reminder that it is still with me, guiding me, just as one day it encouraged me to take my first steps.

Now, I try to share the path of photography with others, especially those looking for an escape or a way to connect with something they are passionate about. Being able to help create that "ground wire" is an immense source of satisfaction for me. Although I know that my own path is not yet completely settled and there are many details to be adjusted, I feel that I am heading in the right direction.

Although she is no longer in my life, she continues to illuminate my path, and I would like nothing more than to illuminate the path of others, just as she did for me.
