Fringer NF-GFX Firmware v1.60
Autofocus and aperture refinements for Nikon F on Fujifilm GFX
The Fringer EF-NZ Series Firmware v2.40 update brings crucial performance and stability improvements across the entire EF-NZ smart adapter lineup, encompassing both EF-NZ II and original EF-NZ models. This software update optimizes phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) performance, accelerates subject tracking response times, and ensures reliable Eye-AF and animal detection across Nikon Z mirrorless camera bodies during high-speed action and portrait shooting.
A major improvement in this release is the expanded lens compatibility for third-party Canon EF mount optics manufactured by Sigma, Tamron, and Tokina, alongside comprehensive support for Canon L-series prime and zoom lenses. The electronic aperture diaphragm control algorithm has been meticulously calibrated for smooth, flicker-free exposure transitions. Furthermore, lens-based image stabilization (IS, OS, VC) coordinates smoothly with Nikon's sensor-shift in-body image stabilization (IBIS).
The update procedure is implemented directly via the built-in micro-USB port without requiring external docks or proprietary software installers. Full EXIF data transmission is preserved, providing precise focal length and aperture information to the camera system for distortion profiling, lens correction tags, and seamless integration into professional photography production environments.
