The optical design has been refined to feature 11 elements in 8 groups, incorporating high refractive index and extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to improve sharpness and control chromatic aberrations.

Constructed from a robust aluminum alloy body, the lens is designed for longevity and precise handling. It features a fully manual focusing system and a clickless (stepless) aperture ring, which is particularly beneficial for video work where smooth exposure transitions are required. The 8-blade diaphragm is optimized to produce stunning 8-point star effects when shooting toward point light sources.
