Summary

The Sirui Swift AF 20mm f/2.4 is an ultracompact wide-angle prime surfaced through recent commercial dealer leaks, remaining strictly an unconfirmed rumor without any official announcement or presentation by Sirui. Preliminary details indicate that this full-frame autofocus lens belongs to a new lightweight series designated as Swift, planned for Sony E, Nikon Z, Leica L, and Fujifilm X mounts. Departing from larger cine and prime designs, early reports highlight a highly portable chassis weighing approximately 205 grams, measuring 69.4mm in diameter by 58mm in length, and utilizing a standard 58mm front filter thread.

If confirmed by eventual factory specifications, the Sirui Swift AF 20mm f/2.4 features an autofocus system driven by an STM stepping motor, achieving a minimum focusing distance of 250mm. On the exterior barrel, leaked documentation details a dedicated physical aperture ring, a hardware AF/MF focus mode switch, an assignable Fn function button, and dust and splash resistant weather sealing paired with a stain-resistant front element coating. Incorporating a 9-blade circular diaphragm and an aperture range from f/2.4 to f/16, the optic is designed to balance wide-angle light gathering with everyday carry convenience.

Should it receive an official release, the Sirui Swift AF 20mm f/2.4 would position itself as a practical choice for landscape photography, architectural interiors, environmental street captures, and lightweight travel vlogging where wide coverage and minimal pack weight are paramount. The combination of tactile barrel controls, full weather protection, and featherweight dimensions addresses a notable gap in modern mirrorless ecosystems. Nevertheless, because all current details stem entirely from preliminary dealer listings without verified pricing or release timing, every specification remains subject to formal confirmation by the manufacturer.
