Summary

The Sony FE 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G is the first full-frame fisheye zoom lens designed natively for Sony E mount mirrorless cameras by Sony. Featuring a distinctive 8-14mm zoom range and a constant f/3.5 maximum aperture, it delivers unprecedented optical versatility by shifting seamlessly from a 180° circular fisheye perspective at 8mm to a full-coverage diagonal fisheye at 14mm. This two-in-one capability lets photographers and filmmakers explore dramatic spherical framing and expansive wide-angle field of view without switching lenses.

The sophisticated optical design consists of 16 elements in 13 groups, integrating precision Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass and aspherical elements to suppress chromatic aberrations and maintain high resolution right to the periphery. Autofocus is driven by dual XD (Extreme Dynamic) linear motors, ensuring lightning-fast, silent, and highly reliable tracking across both fast-paced sports photography and professional cinema workflows. A remarkably short minimum focusing distance of just 0.15 meters (5.9 inches) allows creators to get intimately close to subjects for exaggerated proportions and dramatic depth.

Weighing an astonishingly light 314 grams and sealed against dust and moisture, the Sony FE 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G is built for intense action sports, all-sky astrophotography, architecture, landscapes, and immersive VR video productions. The barrel incorporates a full suite of tactile controls, including an aperture ring with a de-click switch, an iris lock switch, a customizable focus hold button, and an AF/MF switch, offering seamless hybrid usability on modern Alpha cameras.
