Sigma says this version fixes an issue where release time lag could occur under specific settings during flash use. The change list is short, but the point matters for an electronic converter like the MC-11, because exact shutter timing depends on communication between camera body, adapted lens and lighting accessories.

For photographers still using Sigma SA lenses on Sony E bodies, the MC-11 SA-E remains a bridge between systems. Unexpected lag may not stand out during a calm test, but it can become visible in flash portraits, events, studio sessions or social photography, where expression, gesture and synchronization change in fractions of a second. Firmware 1.28 is meant to make the adapted kit respond more consistently when the converter is involved in the electronic conversation during release.
