The Sigma MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 EF-E Firmware 1.43 updates Sigma’s Canon EF to Sony E mount converter with two practical improvements: new compatibility for Sigma EF cine lenses and a response fix for flash photography. Sigma says this version adds support for the High Speed Zoom Line 18-35mm T2 for Canon EF with firmware 1.01 and the FF High Speed Prime Line 35mm T1.5 for Canon EF with firmware 1.01. For users adapting EF lenses to Sony E bodies through the MC-11, that support broadens the converter’s usefulness in hybrid photo and video kits.

The second change improves a release time lag issue that could appear under specific settings during flash photography. In real use, that matters because the MC-11 is not just a passive spacer: it carries electronic communication between body, lens and exposure tools. When working with flash, events, portraits or moments where timing matters, a more consistent MC-11 EF-E can make the adapted setup feel more dependable and less temperamental.

Installation uses SIGMA Optimization Pro. Sigma instructs users to connect the MC-11 to a computer with the included USB cable, open the latest version of the software and confirm the update when the converter firmware prompt appears. Before attaching the updated MC-11 to a camera body, Sigma also recommends removing the camera battery pack and reinserting it.
